Hi loves! If there is one thing I love testing besides nail polish, its products to improve my skin. My skin has been a battle for me for many years and I’m always very interested in trying new products and techniques for improvement. Today I’m going to show you a new little beauty coach from Foreo, here is the Fofo!
Let me first explain to you what the Fofo is, and then I will tell you all about how it works and my results.
The Fofo is a tiny device (perfect for traveling!) that measures your skin because it has 24k gold hypoallergenic sensors. It checks the moisture of your skin on multiple spots and tells you the age of your skin, shows you exactly what your skin needs and gives you a personalised program to cleanse your face. I will explain to you all the steps of this process.
Step 1: First you install the Foreo For You app. This app is going to be paired to the Fofo and will tell you all your results. Once you’ve downloaded the app it will ask you to hold down the button on the back of your Fofo for 5 seconds and then you will get the message that the app and Fofo are paired. You are now ready for your first skin analysis!
Step 2: The Fofo will ask you to press the sensors on your right cheek, then your left cheek, then forehead and finally your nose. This process takes about 30 seconds.
Step 3: Check the app for the scores your skin moisture level, skin age, and overall skin score. You also get your customised skin care routine and can start cleansing your face with the Fofo
What are my results and thoughts on the Fofo?
As I already told you, I love trying new skin care tools because I really want to improve my skin. The only cleansing device that I own right now is my Clarisonic Mia. I really like using the Mia because it cleanses my face very well, but even with the brush for sensitive skin I can’t use it everyday plus the brush heads need to be replaced pretty often and over here they are not available easily plus they aren’t cheap. This brings me to the first thing that I really like about the Fofo, it’s made from silicone that is easy to clean and you never have to buy any other products to keep on using it. This prevents the Fofo from ending up in a drawer and not being used as much as you should.
The process of installing the app and pairing the Fofo is easy and done very quickly. The skin analysis takes about 30 seconds and for the 2 weeks that I’ve had the Fofo I’ve tried it many times just because I wanted to see the different results for this review. If you have a Fofo they recommend that you take a test once every 2 weeks, but I wanted to do it a lot more because I wanted to see if I got different results, and I did! The results of my skin were very different from just stepping out of the shower and having dry dehydrated skin, to right after cleansing with a little bit less stressed out skin, to in the morning with calm skin right after a night of moisturizer pampering my skin. If I tested the Fofo on the same moment (for instance for a week every morning after waking up) the results were consistent.
The analysis is not the only thing the Fofo does. After this it gives you a customised cleansing routine. In your app you can see how long you need to use the Fofo on specific area’s of your face. I’ve tried the cleansing routine after the different tests that I’ve done and I noticed a difference in the intensity and vibrations, this was amazing! It definitely changes to the needs of your skin, this means that it also works very well on my sensitive skin. After using the Fofo my skin feels soft and clean without getting irritated or dehydrated. Since I’ve only used the Fofo for less than 2 weeks I don’t see a mayor improvement of my skin but I’m so curious if I see results in a few months!
If I compare the Fofo to my Clarisonic Mia I see mayor plus points for the little Fofo. Not only is it cheaper, but also with sensitive skin you can use it daily and you don’t need to buy any other products to keep using it. It’s easy to use and very quick. The size is great too, it’s not too small so it’s still comfortable to use but it doesn’t take up much space so it’s perfect for traveling. If you want you can also use the Fofo in the shower since it’s waterproof.
Final verdict? I love it! I will definitely keep on using it and I’m really curious about the Foreo Luna that is more expensive to see if there is a big difference between the different versions. If I can get my hands on one I will definitely make another review!
The Foreo Fofo is now available at Douglas for 90,78 (for my Dutch readers) or at Foreo.com (for my International readers)
I’m very curious if you are going to try the Fofo or if you have any of their products? Let me know what you think and what your results were after using it for a while!
Love,
Demelza
