Hi loves! A few months ago I started to try the new Calm Redness Relief Exfoiliant from Paula’s Choice and after using it every single day since I’ve started I thought right now would be a good time to tell you all about it!
Let me first tell you a little bit about what an exfoiliant is, why you should add it to your skincare routine and why I’m using it.
An exfoiliant is a product that helps the renewal process of your skin by removing dead skin and making sure your new skin gets a boost and looks brighter and renewed, this way it spots and other skin problems fade much faster. I’m using an exfoiliator because I suffer from acne, I have many spots and also a lot of acne scarring, my skin looks dull and tired. 🙁
I’ve started using an exfoiliator months ago. The first time I started was also with a Paula’s Choice product, I was using the Skin Perfecting exfoiliator. This one made my skin soft, bright and I noticed spots dissapeared much faster than usual, the only thing that I didn’t like about this product was the smell and the formula (I had the gel version, it feels so weird!) so I was really happy when the Calm Redness Relief exfoiliant arrived 😀
This version of the exfoiliant is perfect for people (like me) who have sensitive skin and suffer from redness. I unfortunately have rosacea so I really need to be carefull with what I apply on my face, but this product doesn’t have any irritating ingredients. It helps to renew the skin, soothe redness, uncloggs pores and makes them smaller. Sounds great right?
Now why do I use this product and does it really work? My main reason why I bought an exfoiliator in the first place was my skin looking dull and because I suffer from acne. After using this exfoiliator every evening (I don’t use it in my daytime routine, only at night) I noticed my skin started to look more bright, the redness is still there ofcourse but it doesn’t get any worse (it does with other exfoiliators, I couldn’t use an exfoiliator before on my cheeks but with this one I can) and my acne definitally looks better. Ofcourse, my acne is still there but spots are not as big and annoying as before and they disappear much faster. I love this stuff!
Do you use an exfoliator and whats your favourite?
