Hi loves! I received a few makeup products from Sleek that I wanted to share with you. These products aren’t new, I received them because Sleek is now available in stores here in the Netherlands so it could be that you’ve already heard or tried any of these items but I still wanted to try them because the price is great!
The Cleopatra’s Kiss Highlighting Palette €13,99
This was the first product that I’ve tried from Sleek and I love it! The packaging is gold and looks stunning, it’s small and perfect for traveling. Inside you find 4 colors, a mirror and a brush:
Upper Left – Sphinx: Powder highlighter
Upper Right – Delta: Creamy highlighter
Lower Left – Dynasty: Creamy highlighter
Lower Right – Goddess: Powder highlighter I know a lot of people don’t like creamy highlighters but I don’t mind them at all. All four colors are easy to work with, look great and blend well. For me personally the two upper colors are a bit too dark so it doesn’t give the best result but that’s because my skin is just too light, on my friend they look great! The two bottom colors are so pretty and give a nice subtle highlight without looking to powdery or having too much glitter. They also last for a long time on the face. The only thing I don’t like is the brush, definitely use your own. I would recommend this palette because it has a great quality, especially for this price!
Brow Intensity Highlighter €10,99
The brow highlighter is availible in 5 colors, light, medium, dark, extra dark and black. It has two sides, on one side you have the applicator for filling in your brows and the brow gel and on the other side the highlighter.I like that you have all brow products that you need in one item, but does it work? Well, not everything.
First you start filling in your brows with the sponge tip. The color looks good but It’s hard to apply the product evenly plus it doesn’t give that natural brow look that I like. Then when you want to comb your hairs with the brush you have to be really careful not to touch your face with the sponge otherwise it becomes a mess, and yep, this happened to me.
I do really love the highlighter, the color is stunning and it’s easy to apply because of the pointy tip and it blends really well.
Would I buy this again? Well, no. I think the highlighter is nice but I wouldn’t buy this product just for that, I rather spend my money on the Cleopatra’s Kiss highlighter or another product.
I-Devine Eyeshadow Palettes €10,99
There are two new eyeshadow pallets that are both full with neutral colors. This ofcourse made me happy to hear because I love neutral pallets so I was happy to receive both! Let’s take a look:
A New Day
The packaging is a plain black case with a big mirror inside. The packaging is nothing special but having packaging as brands like Too Faced and Tarte will only result in a higher price. The big mirror inside is great, it covers the full lid. Inside you find the 12 neutral colors and a double ended makeup brush. My first impression of all colors is that there is something of everything and they are suitable for all skin types. There is a wide variety of matte and shimmer shades so you can make many different looks.
Sun Is Shining – Brightside = Daydreamer – Let It Go – Don’t Worry – Be Happy
Feelin’ Good – Silver Lining – Shine On – Carpe Diem – Believer – H-A-P-P-Y
When swatching I found out that most of the colors have a surprisingly good pigmentation. All shimmer colors are great to work with and I love them all. The matte colors are nice too, I only wished that Let It Go (4th of top row) was more pigmented and the same for Be Happy (last one of the top row). This pallet is absolutely perfect for everybody who wants a good pallet for a great price. This one is definitely going on my recommendations list!
All Night Long
All Night Long is the pallet that is perfect to get ready for a party or a nice dinner. Inside there are more shimmer shades than the A New Day version and a few mattes.
Bellini = Negroni – Martini – Prosecco – Kir Royale – Mimosa
Champagne – Spritz – Mai Tai – Cosmopolitan – Daiquiri – Manhattan
Just like A New Day, all shimmers are so pretty and great to work with, I love them! It really surprises me how good the pigmentation of these colors is. The color that I find hard to work with is Mai Tai (3th from bottom row). It hardly shows up on my skin and I’m missing a good transition shade. I think they could have skipped a shimmer and added a transition shade, but if you have the A New Day version you can combine both and create every look that you want. Ofcourse I used my own brushes and not the one that comes with both pallets.
I will make an eyelook soon with both pallets and post the pictures in a new blogpost! 😀
Do you have any of these products and what do you think of them? Or do you have any other recommendations of Sleek products that I need to try?
These products are now availble in The Netherlands on wwww.sleek-makeup.nl or in stores like Ici Paris, Etos, DA and DIO. Worldwide you can find them on www.sleekmakeup.com and in stores.
Love,
Demelza
