Hi loves! Today I have the new Deborah Milano Secrets of the Smokey Eye collection for you! Four new makeup pallets with some amazing colors that are stunning together to create the perfect smokey eye!
Let me first start with their press release and the pictures!
The popularity of Smokey Eyes is showing no signs of waning. Women the world over love the look and are keen to learn the fuss-free way to achieve a truly professional result. Which is why Deborah Milano, Italy’s colour specialists and make-up experts, are rolling out four must-have palettes that will meet the needs of all women, whether they’re mischievously make-up mad or taking their first steps into the world of cosmetics and could do with a helping hand. The palettes include Nude Rose, featuring romantic hues for a natural look, the more sophisticated Nude Beige, basic Black, and funky Violet. The Smokey Eyes look definitely won’t go unnoticed.
1 Nude Rose
Six nude rose shades designed to flatter every coloring and complexion. Perfectly natural looking, this is a romantic smokey eye look for any occasion.
2 Nude Beige
Six nude beige shades for achieving a smokey eye look that’s both natural looking and stylishly sophisticated.
3 Black
Six luscious black and grey shades for a dramatically glamorous smokey eye look.
4 Violet
Six totally trendy lilac and purple shades for funky, sexy smokey eyes.
Luca Mannucci, Deborah Milano’s official make-up artist explains how to get “the Look” in six easy steps:
Step 1 – Base
Prime the lid with your base colour – it’s the second shade from the left (nr. 1). I recommend applying it over your entire eyelid and up to the brow bone using your fingertip, to ensure even colour and coverage.Step 2 – Lines
A steady hand is needed for the next step: apply a thick line of the darker shade (nr. 2) along the edge of the upper lash line, starting from the outer corner and working inwards.Step 3 – Enhances
Blend the third colour (nr. 3) into the darker shade; this will make your eyes really pop. Make sure the dark colour is thickest at the corners to add even more depth and drama to your gaze.Step 4 – Colors
Smudge the fourth eye shadow (nr. 4) into the outer corner of the eye. The best way to do this is to use the tip of your ring finger. Here’s a tip: create a horizontal “V” shape at the outer corners of the eye, softening the pointy end of the “V” and blending the colour inward towards the centre of the eyelid.Step 5 – Deepenes
Step 5 provides the finishing touch… sweep a tiny amount of the fifth colour (nr. 5) slightly above and along the crease, forming an arch from the outermost to the innermost corner (it will feel a bit like drawing a circle with a compass). Draw a line lightly along your lower lashes to soften and deepen the effect.Step 6 – Highlights
Now for some dazzling highlights: touches of the light shade (nr. 6) will go in the inner corner of the eye, either side of the bridge of the nose, and then on the brow bone just below the brow, widening the eyes and calling even more attention to the gaze.
I am so happy with this collection! As you can see, the pigmentation is really really good! The colors are easy to blend and the two nude pallets are exactly the colors that I love! The other two are also really pretty, there is definitely a perfect pallet for everyone! I´ve already used four of the Nude Beige colors and they stayed on for such a long time, were easy to blend and didn´t hurt my eye or made them red (I have very sensitive eyes).
Not only is the quality really good, the price is perfect! You can buy a pallet for €10,90, I think that’s a great price for six colors! Plus the mirror inside is really useful. These are limited edition so get them while you still can!
Are you going to get one of these? I know for sure that I need to get some backups of Nude Rose and Nude Beige!
Love,
Demelza
